Hi, I’m Greta O’Hara . Founder of Cradle & Kin and a doula offering support during postpartum. I’m also a lactation specialist and can help with anything from latching to pumping to figuring out what’s normal.
I’m currently completing certifications in postpartum care and lactation support through A Woman Who Serves. I bring a blend of lived experience, active training, and a deeply relational approach to every session.
I'm a mama to my daughter Charlotte, wife to Brandon, and “dog mama” to Coozer. From a young age, whenever someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always the same: a mom. I’ve always held a deep reverence for motherhood. It is transformative, complex, messy, sacrificial, and beautiful.
When I became a mother myself, I experienced firsthand how essential support is during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible "village" of friends and family who showed up, checked in, and held space for me (and still do!). That care allowed me to truly enjoy new motherhood, and I believe every parent deserves to feel that kind of support. It truly takes a village and our society today has often lost that - much to the detriment of growing families.
After my own journey, I felt called to offer that same care to others. And so Cradle & Kin was born (pun 100% intended). I am deeply passionate about this work and feel it is essential.
I currently offer virtual support, with occasional in-person sessions. I believe virtual care makes doula support more affordable, flexible, and accessible. Especially for families who might not otherwise be able to benefit from this kind of care. My goal is to support as many mothers as I can, and virtual services allow me to do just that. I jokingly refer to myself as a "back-pocket doula". Reliable, supportive, and just a phone call away. Doula care doesn't have to be formal or overwhelming. Sometimes it just looks like someone you know you can hop on a call with. Always within reach to support you in your lows and to celebrate with you in your highs.
In my free time, you’ll usually find me reading, spending time with my family, or planning our next adventure (especially if it involves the beach). I also volunteer with Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue, where we care for some of the most lovable dogs around.
However you’re entering this season, whether it be with questions, joy, overwhelm, or all of the above, know you’re not alone. I’d be honored to hold space for you. Want to chat more? Head on over to the Contact tab. I'd love to hear your story.
